Good day all. As I write, our dear Buckeyes are on the cusp of blowing the fuck out of Northwestern on Saturday and squeaking into the playoff with a 6-0 record. If Northwestern wins we’ll just… move on I guess. So, that’s great.
Anyway, this blog is a jumble of my thoughts and things I’ve been writing and researching. I don’t give a shit about recruiting but I do enjoy looking at past teams and remembering who was good and who had cool names and lamenting that we only have a couple modern national titles instead of 17.
I’ll stick to the last 30 years. I define the modern era of Buckeye Football as 1990-2020 and that’s my focus, but a lot of other stuff tends to sneak in.
I’m not a writer. At least I’ve never really written anything outside of a teacher forcing me to do it. I’m not in sports. I played a lot of sports but sucked at all of them except track. And even then I was just decent. I work at a bank, in fact. But, I’ve lived in Columbus for 39 years and was at the 13-13 Michigan tie in 1991 and I really enjoy watching Ohio State play football!
I suspect others do as well, but there are literally no radio shows or blogs or Columbus Dispatch sportswriters or historians that say anything about the Bucks. Consider the void filled, Buckeye Nation.
